About Us - Introduction to The Stonehenge Trader
We are a local trade magazine aimed at advertising local businesses and
services throughout the local area. We aim to help you promote your business to local
customers' right on your doorstep, making carrying out your business more convenient for both
you and your customers.
Our current distribution is 10,000 copies each month. The Stonehenge Trader is distributed
FREE directly to homes & businesses throughout the local 01980 area. In addition to our
distribution team, we also have magazine dispensers situated in various, widely used, local
businesses such as pubs & clubs, hotels & restaurants, doctors' waiting rooms and various
local shops. Also we are distributing within the army camps.
In addition to advertising, The Stonehenge Trader also includes information of interest to
our readers about their local community. Including; monthly 'What's On / What to do' columns
(promoting local events, clubs, charity organisations, etc), a 'Classifieds' section and a
list of 'Useful Telephone Numbers'. We also help to advertise events being held for local
charities, such as "The Rotary Club's, Tree of Light in Amesbury" and "The Last Night at The
Proms", held for charity at Amesbury Abbey.
Each issue has a special 'Monthly Feature', dedicated to a particular type of business or
service. The aim of these features is to catch the readers' eye and draw their attention to
local businesses which can provide these particular services for them. The Centre Features
are timed to coincide with relevant calendar dates when you may particularly wish to promote
your business, such as Valentines Day, Summer Eating Out, Christmas. There should be a
feature to match your business advertising needs.
We can offer a range of advertising options for your business. Starting from standard black &
white adverts in 8 different sizes on a 1 month or 6 months rate, to front & back cover
adverts in 2 colours (certain sizes only). (Space is limited on the cover, especially the
front, so you may wish to reserve your space in advance. We also try to vary the front cover
adverts to keep the magazine looking fresh each month, so we only offer 1 month rates on this
space, although we will try to accommodate your advert every few months if you are keen to
advertise on the front cover regularly.) The rate for Monthly Feature adverts is the same as
the standard adverts rates, and our regular advertisers who are on a six month contract will
have their advert automatically moved to the Monthly Feature on relevant months.
We also periodically run special features on individual businesses; this allows you to tell
our readers more about your business and the services you can offer. Best of all, it won't
cost your business a penny to be featured as a 'Business of the Month'. All you need to do is
arrange some support adverts from other businesses you deal with to advertise along side your
feature, showing their support and best wishes to your business. Half a page of support
adverts entitles your business to the same about of FREE advertising space to promote your
business with advertising and editorial, or a whole page of support adverts entitles you to a
whole page FREE of charge.
